Hello everybody,
We have been working with Marcia now for a couple of months and it is going great. She really has a great voice and we cannot wait to go on stage with her.
The first gig with Marcia will be on february 18th. Together with A New Dawn we will be doing a try-out. A New Dawn will be showing their new singer too and also a new drummer. We cannot wait to see them back in action, it is a great band.
We will be playing in the Plug Unit in Reeuwijk and we will be opening for A New Dawn.

As you probably already know Daphne has left Evil?s Desire (see message below). At the moment we are looking for a new singer. Last Tuesday we played with a candidate with a high potential of being our newest addition to the band. Of course it?s to early to confirm at the moment, but it all seems very hopeful.
We want to make sure we?re not long out of commission. When the final decisions are made, we will try to make a new recording as soon as possible so you can become acquainted with the new Evil?s. Don?t worry, even though the singer is a big influence on the sound, the music won?t change a lot.

Dear friends and fans,
After long and hard thinking, I have decided to leave Evil?s Desire.
For the last months, I felt my passion for singing was fading. I didn?t get the satisfaction and joy I used to from playing with the band. Also, I found it increasingly difficult to combine my musical activities with other aspects of my life. So I made the hard decision to leave the band after 6,5 years. I have decided to give up on singing completely, so you will not see me in other bands, or musical projects of that sort.
I would like to take this opportunity to take a moment look back on all the great times we as a band had together.
In 2005, after meeting Eric through another band, he introduced me to Evil?s Desire. A new and fresh project, with a unique sound. The talented musicians had a special chemistry. When Johan joined the club we were ready to take Evil?s to the next level. Besides flourishing creativity we also had a lot of laughs together. We visited theme parks, had dinners together and enjoyed each other?s company. After some try out`s we hit the studio and recorded our cd single with our greatest hit, ?Touched by insanity?. We entered contests and played lot`s of venue, small and bigger, throughout the country. But Evil`s has grown, and so did the music. We recorded a full length album, ?initium? and signed with record label Ravenheart. For this great opportunity I got to travel to the UK with Eric. We had so much fun! The promotion was intense, we visited radio stations, did many interviews and learned to deal with good and bad press. I am truly thankful for the good times and unique experiences I had with these guys in the last 7 years. I know these musicians have been together long before I was in the picture, and they will continue to make music long after I?m gone.

Op 6 augustus spelen we, zoals eerder gezegd, op Wallenpop. Hieronder het schema van die dag.
As you may have noticed it has been quiet for a while. However that doesn't mean we are not active at this moment.
Currently we are working on a lot of new songs for our forthcoming album. We don't know yet when we will start recordings, that depends on the location where we want to do most of the recordings, the studio part of our home base MACH, which is being renovated at this moment. Hopefully we can start by the end of this year.
Our first gig of this year will be a nice one, on the Wallenpop Festival in Hellevoetsluis on the 6th of August. We will present some of our new songs to you, which we have not played live before, so that' s very exciting for us.
As you probably know we signed a promotion and distribution deal with Ravenheart Music UK for our Initium album, which is available through Amazon and Plastichead e.o. since April. Then we are very proud of the fact that our song Touched by Insanity will be on the compilation cd of Femmemetal Records, to be released the 26th of September.

Recentelijk zijn wij er achter gekomen dat de flesopener op onze aanstekers niet veilig zijn om te gebruiken!! Een van onze fans heeft geprobeerd een flesje te openen, toen de aansteker in zijn hand ontplofte. Gelukkig is hij er met de schrik van af gekomen, maar wij willen niet dat dit nog een keer gebeurd.
Wij hebben een klacht gestuurd naar onze leverancier maar hebben hier nog geen reactie op ontvangen.
Onze oprechte excuses, in het bijzonder naar diegene waarbij het gebeurde.
Recently we've discovered the bottle-opener on our cigarette-lighters are not save to use!! One of our fans tried to open a bottle with the lighter and the lighter exploded in his hand. Fortunately there were no injuries, but we don't want this to happen again to anybody.
We've send a complain to our supplier but we haven't received any reaction so far.
Our sincere apologies to you all, especially to the one with the exploding lighter.

Recently Eric has placed an update about Evil`s Desire on one of our Dutch sites. Since it has been awful quiet, and I don`t want to withhold you from any information I will translate it best I can for all of you to read. So here goes:
I have some updates to report to you all. In random order:
1) April 11th our debut album 'Initium' will be released in the UK. It will be sold via www.plastichead.com for example, but it will also be available on a small scale in regular stores. Plastichead decided to put in the largest order our promotor/label Ravenheart has ever received! We do not know exactly what this will mean for Evil`s Desire, but we are honored by the order and shown interest in the band alone.
2) Our hit song 'Touched by insanity' taken from an older recording (not featured on our album 'Initium') will be part of a compilation album of female fronted bands. The album will be released in several countries. It is an initiative by 'Femmemetal'; a popular site, platform and store for the female fronted metal community.
3) Last but not least; Eric's home studio will serve as a regular studio. May first at the latest Eric will have his own spot in 'Mach' Hellevoetsluis, our homebase. I am delighted by the given opportunity and 'Mach' is also pleased with our collaboration. This is of course very interesting for bands who would like to record a demo/promo for a fair price.
This should be an interesting year for Evil's Desire

We have been invited by Alantia to perform at Cafe Stiels, Haarlem on the December 11th. We were suggested by a friend, leadguitarist Bas from Alerion. Thanks a lot Bas!

As you may have noticed, Evil's Desire is not performing at this moment. We are working very hard to create new technical, but more importantly, great sounding songs. In this process we think an extra guitarist could really give the extra's we like to see and hear in certain new songs (as well as old ones ofcourse). So... if you think you can be that addition to our band then let us know. Sign up for the auditions in December and January.
The man or woman we look for is between 25 and 50 years old, can handle a guitar very well and is someone who is (or wants to be) very creative. If you can sing or grunt that's an additional plus. Evil's Desire differs from other bands where the emphasis lies on only hard work and results. We also like to work hard and get good results, but we are also a family, so it's important that you fit in.
Well.. enough said. If you are really the one we want then why wait? We are already preparing for new cd recordings and it would be great to have an additional bandmember before we enter the studio once again.
