Evil’s Desire is a symphonic/gothic metal band, founded in 2005 by the members of the Dutch heavy metal band Violent Queen, based in Hellevoetsluis.

Evil`s Desire was first introduced to the public in 2005 during the pop festival ‘Wallenpop’ in Hellevoetsluis. The band received positive reviews of their performance. After this once and only performance the band started to develop itself with the arrival of two new musicians: lead vocalist Daphne Gobius du Sart and keyboardist Johan Seinen in 2006. This completed the line up.

As soon as the line up was complete, they worked really hard on establishing their own repertoire. In Juni 2007 Evil`s Desire hit the studio for the recording of their very first mini cd. Two songs were recorded, Touched by insanity and Black sea. The songs were made a free download on the bands website www.evilsdesire.com and soon became popular with fans.

Since 2007 the band has been hitting the stage a lot with one of the highlights being Wallenpop 2008. At the end of 2008 Evil`s Desire joined a collaboration of 5 dutch metal bands by the name of Six Pack of Dutch Metal. The five bands performed several times together. In 2010 Evil`s Desire teamed up with Metal Music Agency.

In April 2009 the recordings of the very first album called Initium started. This cd called Initium recently has been released (July 30th, 2010).
